Welcome to Petal, a new website dedicated to the fairy Nuala from Neil Gaiman's comic series, The Sandman. I've been planning this site for a while now, probably since I first read through The Sandman series in 2003. Despite the fact that Nuala is a rather minor character for most of the series, I immediately liked her in "Season of Mists" and began planning this site. Along the way, a lot of delays took place, but when Missdeep proposed a Girl Shrine Challange for Amassment, I knew that this was my chance to really get this site going.

Because The Sandman is such a rich and nuanced story, this site is probably best suited for those who have already read the series; however, to accomidate those who have not had the pleasure, I've summarized the volumes in the Series section. Also, this site is based entirely on The Sandman, not the other series that followed it. I'm aware of some of the things that happen to Nuala after the end of the original series, but since I have yet to read them myself, they will not be included here.

It should probably go without saying, but I will say it anyway: this site is filled with spoilers. Because the story is so nuanced, it would be hard to talk about it without reference to final events, therefore, nearly every section has spoilers.
