In yet another case of my being rather stupid, I did not save a screenshot of this layout before I deleted it. I took the screenshot, but I didn't paste it into a document and I copied over it. Still, this is the top banner of the layout, so at least I still have that. It was only suppose to last until Valentine's day, but I kept it up for nearly 6 months. Oops. Still, I like it. It's a really pretty (if a bit over-sexual) Ayanami Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion. |

The previous layout was grey and blue, so I decided to go with something a little brighter--grey and red, which is completely different from the following layout which is blue, orange, and grey... I know. Anyway, I really liked the image, but her legs were all funky, so I tried to make the layout show off the good features (her funky dress and her awesome wand) without showing the legs. I am not sure where this is from, but I bet it is popular with guys... |

So, yeah. Gray, orange, and blue. It's messier than the last layout and a little less sophisticated but the images were difficult to cut out. It was sort of an tribute to Michael Jackson. The outfits reminded me of the music video for "Smooth Criminal", so that is source of the title. |

It wasn't initially my intention to do another Rei and Asuka layout, but it was the first suitable Christmas image I found and it had a certain symetry to it--the domain died with a Rei/Asuka layout and was reborn with a similar layout. 2009 was mostly about Rei here at A.net, apparently. From a technical standpoint it was simple--color adjustment layers, a couple brushes, adn a texture to finish it off, but it looked nice. |
